1.1 The privacy of your personal data is of the utmost importance to us. This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) covers and is designed to help you understand how we process information that we collect about you when you interact with us or that you provide to us through our website(s).
1.2 Pirelli Asia Pte Ltd, with registered offices at 77 Robinson Road #23-01, Singapore 068896, (hereinafter referred to as “Pirelli”, “we”, “us” or “our”, as appropriate) will act as “Data Controller” of your personal data for the uses detailed in Section 3. For the purposes of the PDPA, we are an “Organisation” as defined under the Act.
1.3 Definitions
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:
“Data Intermediary” means an organisation which processes Personal Data on behalf of and for the purposes of another organisation pursuant to a contract which is evidenced or made in writing, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.
“Personal Data” has the meaning given to it under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and generally refers to data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data.
“PDPA” and “the Act” mean the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore, as amended from time to time. - COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
2.1 We collect personal data, which includes information that can identify you, such as your company name, your first name & last name, UEN number, street address, ZIP/postal code, city, country, state, phone number, email and any other information you provide when interacting with us.
Information you provide to us
2.2 You may be requested to provide to us certain Personal Data about you by filling in the forms published on our website(s), and/or when you request us to be contacted, and/or during certain events, for purposes detailed in Section 3. Personal Data you will provide to us may include your first and last name, the company you belong to, contact number, e-mail address, UEN, business address, and any other information you provide when you interact with us or when you contact us.
2.3 Where you provide Personal Data about another individual, you confirm that you have obtained that individual’s consent for us to collect, where requested by law, use and disclose their Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Technical information
2.4 When you browse our website(s), we may collect technical information through cookies and similar technologies.
The website uses the following categories of cookies:
(a) Strictly necessary (session) cookies – required for the operation of the website and enabling core functionality such as user authentication and session management;
(b) Performance cookies – which collect aggregated information on how users interact with the website to improve functionality and user experience;
(c) Functional cookies – which remember user preferences and settings to enhance usability.
Certain cookies may collect Personal Data (such as IP address). Where required under the PDPA, we will obtain consent or rely on deemed consent, except where such cookies are strictly necessary for the provision of the website. - USE OF PERSONAL DATA
3.1 We may collect and use your Personal Data for the following purposes set out below to the extent permitted by law:
(i) administering the Pirelli Circle Program or Promotion means the Pirelli Circle Retail Rewards Program (hereinafter referred to as “Program”);
(ii) verifying transactions;
(iii) reward fulfilment;
(iv) responding to enquiries;
(v) marketing and promotional communications (where consent has been provided).
3.2 Where you voluntarily provide your Personal Data to register for, participate in, or use the Program, we may collect, use and disclose such Personal Data as is reasonably necessary for those purposes, including account administration, transaction verification, points administration, reward fulfilment and responding to enquiries. Where required by applicable law, or where the relevant purpose is not reasonably obvious from the circumstances, we will obtain your consent separately.
3.3 Pirelli may also use your Personal Data for marketing and promotional communications purposes (set out at 3.1 (v)), subject to your prior and optional consent to receive marketing communications. You can always limit the communications that Pirelli sends to you. To opt-out from receiving future commercial emails, simply click the link labelled “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email Pirelli sends you or by following the indications of Section 5. - SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA
4.1 We may share your Personal Data when authorized by law or as follows:
(a) Third Parties (Service Providers, Suppliers). Should your Personal Data be provided for purposes stated in Section 3, your Personal Data may also be processed by service providers and/or insurance companies entrusted by Pirelli, for purposes including managing the redemption points system or sending the rewards (gifts) by such service providers. These third parties are subject to confidentiality agreements with us and other legal restrictions that prohibit their use of the information we provide them for any purpose other than to perform the specific related operation, unless you have explicitly agreed or given your prior permission to them for additional uses. They will act, unless otherwise specified, as Data Intermediary.
(b) As permitted or required by law. In certain cases, we may be required to provide Personal Data in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe to be unlawful or in violation of applicable laws. We may release certain Personal Data when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of others and ourselves, or to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.
(c) Business transaction. In the event that we intend to sell or transfer ownership or control of any or all of our business, operations or services to a third party, we may need to disclose your Personal Data to a potential buyer both before and after the purchase. We will do so in accordance and in compliance with the data protection laws applicable to you. In any case, in the event the sale goes through, we will require that the receiving party agree that they will be similarly bound by the provisions of this Privacy Policy and that they will only use and disclose your Personal Data as we are similarly entitled under this Privacy Policy. In the event the sale does not go through, we will require the potential purchaser to not use or disclose your Personal Data in any manner whatsoever and to completely erase the same.
4.2 We will not sell, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal data to third parties other than as set out above, or if required by law. - YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
5.1 Under the PDPA, you have the right to:
(a) Access – request access to your Personal Data in our possession or control, as well as information about how your Personal Data has been used or disclosed by us within the past year;
(b) Correction – request correction of any error or omission in your Personal Data;
(c) Withdrawal of Consent – withdraw your consent for the collection, use or disclosure of your Personal Data at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
5.2 To exercise your rights, you may contact us at privacy.dept.sg@pirelli.com. We may require you to verify your identity and to provide sufficient details to process your request.
5.3 We will respond to your request within a reasonable time. Where permitted by law, we may charge a reasonable administrative fee for processing access requests and will inform you of such fee before processing your request.
5.4 Please note that we may be unable to fulfil your request in certain circumstances, including where:
(a) the request relates to Personal Data that is exempt from access or correction under applicable laws;
(b) fulfilling the request would reveal personal data about another individual;
(c) the request is frivolous or vexatious; or
(d) we are required or authorised by law to retain or continue processing the Personal Data.
5.5 Where you withdraw consent, we will inform you of the likely consequences of such withdrawal. Depending on the nature of your request, this may result in our inability to continue providing you with certain services or participation in the Program.
5.6 Withdrawal of consent does not affect our right to continue to collect, use or disclose Personal Data where such collection, use or disclosure without consent is permitted or required under applicable laws. - RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA
6.1 We generally retain Personal Data for up to two (2) years after an account becomes inactive, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
6.2 Following the data retention periods for the purposes stated above, your Personal Data will be archived and retained where necessary (for example, in relation to products and/or services you have purchased or used, or in the event of your participation in contests), for the period of time required by applicable laws concerning the storage of data and documents for administrative, accounting, tax, and defensive purposes (in accordance with the applicable statute of limitations) and thereafter will be securely disposed of or anonymised. - DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION

8.1 Pirelli incorporated in Singapore will be entitled to send you any promotional emails (including newsletters) and other commercial electronic communications based on the provision of your specific consent to marketing activities. You can always limit the communications that Pirelli sends to you. 9.1 Pirelli will store your Personal Data on its IT systems in Singapore. We do not transfer Personal Data outside Singapore unless required by law or with appropriate safeguards. - PRIVACY POLICIES OF THIRD PARTIES
10.1 This Privacy Policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information by Pirelli. We are not responsible for the privacy policies of other websites or application and encourage you to read all applicable terms, conditions and privacy policies provided by all third parties prior to providing them with your information. - LIMITATIONS TO MINORS’ PERSONAL DATA
11.1 If you are a minor, please do not provide us any Personal Data about yourself without the provision of adequate consent by the holder of parental responsibility over you. If we learn that we have collected Personal Data from a minor, without the holder of parental responsibility’s consent, we will promptly delete that information. 12.1 We have security protocols in place to protect your Personal Data from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification, and unlawful destruction and accidental loss. We only allow access to our databases when necessary, and then under strict guidelines as to what use may be made of such data and we implement reasonable technical and organisational measures in accordance with the requirements of the PDPA.
12.2 It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information, and we recommend that you use a unique password for our website(s) that is different from the password you may use on any other site.
12.3 We will take reasonable steps to ensure that Personal Data is accurate and complete where it is likely to be used to make decisions affecting you. - CHANGE OF PRIVACY POLICY
13.1 Privacy laws and practice are constantly developing. Our policies and procedures are therefore under continual review. Our Privacy Policy may change from time to time but we will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without your explicit consent. This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
